Justin Brayton comes out gunning in the heat – blasting by Anderson. As he moves into the
lead, he immediately finds himself dealing with pressure from dungey and Anderson. BY lap four Brayton has been overtaken by Anderson and dungey. He would hold steady on to his position as Eli Tomac creeps closer to his rear tire. Even as Tomac continues to advance, Brayton hangs on to his third place all the way until the checkered flag, riding it out for a trip to the main.
As the riders rocket off into the main, Justin Brayton gets pinched and falls behind Eli Tomac as the rest of the riders blast ahead. Even after the rough start, Brayton manages to cling to seventh place – quickly making his way up to fifth after passing Alessi. From here Brayton would bounce between eighth and ninth – ultimately finishing the race in ninth place after chad Reed manages a last minute charge around him.
