Weston Peick has done what so many other legendary riders have done before him; go from local
so cal star to all around supercross star. Southern California is undoubtedly the central hub for all things supercross. It is home to nearly all of the big time race teams and home to the top manufacturers’ practice tracks. Even top riders who do not originate from the area usually have a home in the region. With all of that influence, it comes to no surprise that So Cal produces some of the quickest and most successful riders in the world. Peick is just another one of the successful riders to make his mark in the supercross world. Referencing Drake, he essentially started from the bottom and now he’s here at the top. I watched Peick as an amateur for the years that I as lucky enough to reside in the hot bed of So Cal and I knew he would eventually make it big. You could just tell by his riding style. So aggressive, throwing the bike wherever he wanted and he had a “take no prisoners” attitude. He was the true definition of a gritty rider and he still is today. We all know by now his first years as a pro were as a struggling privateer but he continued to put in the work and raise eyebrows from top people in the industry until he got his factory ride. Peick’s story is one we can all get behind and we can appreciate the grit and grime he rides with every Saturday night.
