Weston came out swinging in first practice early Saturday morning. He seemed to be feeling better as he
posted the 8th fastest time going into the motos. The local boy went into the motos confident and ready to improve upon last weekend’s results. When the first 450 race began, Weston got off to great start
and was running top ten early. Suddenly on lap two, Weston was able to make up three spots and was now running 8th place and still moving forward. Weston dug deep on lap four and was able to make the pass on his teammate for 7th position. Unfortunately towards the end of the moto, the insanely tough rhythm section was the culprit to victim Peick as he hit the ground hard. He was helped up by the Asterisk medical crew and was not happy with the situation. Unfortunately, he did not make it back to the line for the start of the second moto and his day at Glen Helen was over.
