CARTER BIESE
Carter Biese was hoping to redeem himself coming into the 2016 Baja Brawl after a week of incessant struggles at Loretta Lynn’s Ranch. The rider out of Wisconsin showed the speed to run up front all week long, but he struggled with mechanical issues and starts which put him in one difficult situation after another. He still managed to earn 5th place overall in Mini
Sr. 1 and didn’t finish outside the top 10 in all three motos
in the class, grabbing a 5th place in the first moto. It was
his last showing on the 85cc bike and Biese lined up on the gate aboard a 125 at the Baja Brawl, as well as a Super Mini. He found most of his success in the Super Mini classes, never finishing off the podium and winning both of the races held on Monday in fairly commanding fashion. He passed the eventual champion, Seth Hammaker,
and pulled away by setting the fastest lap times of the moto on his way to the checkered flag.
