At the end of the LCQ there was a lot of controversy about who was going to the main event be-
tween Cade Clason and Nicholas Schmidt because Clason jumped over the tough blocks essen-
tially cutting the track making the pass for the final transfer position. Live timing and scoring showed that Clason won over the #79 by 0.300 of a second. With a decision from the AMA Clason was docked positions and Nick was on his way
to the main event. Nick would have a quite race as he started near last place and finished 20th.
