For years, Weston grew accustom to the underdog role, even thrived at beating factory competition. Once on the JGR Yamaha Factory bike, he showed what he could do with the best
equipment around in 2015. Now in 2016, there is no talk of an underdog when his name comes up, only expectations to perform. Having one of the few positions as a factory star, Peick has to adapt to this unfamiliar role. Not only does he have to beat the same competition, he also has to beat his past results. It’s only a matter of time for the unfamiliar to become comfortable for the Yamaha rider. Just as he clawed his way to earn this leading role, he will have to fight even harder to keep it. He’s banged up and bruised, however look for the #28 on the podium before the seasons end.
