It would be a rough night for Nicoletti who stayed near the rear of the pack for most of the main event. Starting the race off in nineteenth place was less than what this hard-charger was hop-
ing for. Despite the less-than-awesome start, Nicoletti fought to keep up with the pack. He would put in laps battling with Mike Alessi, Vince Friese and Justin Bogle. He would mix up the rankings by moving forwards as well as backwards, and would spend several laps fighting for position with Alessi – he would eventually make a pass on him for eighteenth in the final few laps. Although this race wasn’t his finest finish, it will be what Nicoletti takes away from this round that will be most important to improving his overall game.
