The “Road to Supercross” entails that an amateur must qualify for
Amsoil Arenacross in three different cities. In addition there is also the Amateur Daytona SX event hosted by Ricky Carmichael, The Monster Energy Cup which holds a specific amateur segment, as well as many local indoor series. Furthermore, a new amateur event in Oklahoma called Juniormotox was recently announced to take place in May 2016.
Coming directly out of the amateur ranks without any previous Supercross experience, Alldredge was at a disadvantage. Signing with the elite Pro Circuit Kawasaki team, he was expected to perform. He did show flashes of brilliance in his first appearances at the outdoor nationals and was an immediate threat for podium finishes. His weakness seems to be Supercross, which could be due to the lack of Supercross experiences at the amateur level. That being said, it is only his second year and he has shown improvements from his debut season. He earned a solid 6th place finish last weekend in Glendale Arizona and has his sights set on the podium before the season comes to an end.
