Josh Varize
Josh Varize put together a solid year in 2018 as a part of his final hoorah on the supermini, eventually culminating with an impressive performance at Monster Energy Cup in Las Vegas. The Californian was
no stranger to the top five throughout the year and always put himself in contention for the podium, regardless of the fact that he was competing in one of the most com- petitive classes in all of amateur racing. He would’ve finished on the overall podium at MEC barring a slight mistake in the second moto while leading, but he did more than enough to show his potential on one of the
biggest stages in the sport. Varize earned
a top five overall result in the Supermini 1 class at the Loretta Lynn Amateur National Championship and landed on the podium in the Supermini 2 class at the Daytona RCSX, but with a new year comes new challenges. The Orange Brigade rider has made the step up to the Schoolboy division and will spend the new season competing on the 125cc machine, and the opening round of the Supercross Futures in Glendale will serve as his initial proving grounds.
