the opening round of the Supercross Futures in Glendale with one goal and one goal only: to win titles. He would share his time on the track between various 85cc and Supermini divisions, but the majority of his success came in the smaller class as his experience on the bike paid dividends. DiFrancesco’s loose and exaggerated style on the bike was easy to spot in practice, but it was also accompanied by freakishly fast lap times. His ability to stay low through the rhythm sections and carry his corner speed like no one else in the class reinforced his disposition as one of the pre-race favorites going into the heat races. He was seeded into the first heat race of the 85cc (9- 15) division and he picked up right where he left off in practice, propelling himself to an early lead due to an uncontested holeshot. DiFrancesco settled into 1st position and kept his focus forward until the checkered flag, fending off early pressure from his Team Dunlop Elite teammate, Casey
