The 2018 racing season was business as usual for Ryder DiFrancesco. The Team Dunlop Elite athlete collected a total of eighteen AMA number one plates through- out the season, including two of them at the Loretta Lynn Amateur National Motocross Championship. It’s hard to believe it was the first time in the Team Green Kawasaki standout’s career that he won both of his classes at the Ranch, but it was exactly that -- and he did so while battling the flu. Although it was one of the most success- ful years in DiFrancesco’s rapidly advanc- ing amateur career, he still encountered a
couple of setbacks. He suffered a practice crash in Australia while getting ready for the FIM Junior Motocross World Championship in Horsham and wasn’t able to ride to his full potential. Additionally, he showed the speed and talent that has made him so highly tout- ed during his debut in the Supermini class at Monster Energy Cup, but he wasn’t able to stay off the ground. Nonetheless, DiFran- cesco is always a favorite for the win when he rolls onto the gate his previous accom- plishments instills fear in the mind’s of his competitors, no matter the circumstances.
