into second position behind Kawasaki’s Jett Reynolds. Hawkins matched the pace of the Team Green rider over the course of the four-lapper, but he wasn’t able to displace him and settled for a second place finish. In the main event, he wasn’t able to replicate the same good fortune off the starting line and found himself back in fifth position as the pack entered the opening rhythm section. Hawkins fought hard over the next few laps and pushed his way onto the podium, but it was too little too late as the leading duo had already escaped at the front of the pack. He maintained a consistent pace for the remaining three laps and crossed the finish line in a lonely third position, securing his first podium finish of the weekend. In the Supermini 2 class, the Husqvarna rider pulled an electric holeshot in the heat race and found himself leading Team Green Kawasaki’s Ryder DiFrancesco and Reynolds on the opening lap. The three of them became entrenched in a close fight for the lead as they neared the green flag and Hawkins
