With about five minutes left in the moto, Eli began a very exciting battle with Noren and after many positions changes, Eli was able to secure 7th place. By the checkered flag, Eli had made his way up to a very respectable 6th place. In the second moto, Eli got a better start and was running around 8th on the first lap. Eli pushed his way through the pack early on and found himself in 3rd challenging for 2nd. He began to pressure Barcia for the position and after an exciting battle, he made the pass stick. Eli would do everything he could to catch the points leader but it wasn’t enough. He would finish 2nd in the moto for 4th overall.
