MITCHELL HARRISON
The rookie of the Star Racing Yamaha / Yamahalube team Mitchell Harrison has had a rough go since
turning professional, but he was a star just a year ago as an amateur. Mitchell came up through amateurs as
the cream of the crop winning national championships since 2007 when he was on 50ccs. Harrison didn’t actually race big bikes full time until 2014 and in 2015 he won the highly impressive 250 A championship at Loretta Lynns. Now Mitchell is on the top 250 team in the AMA circuit and rides and trains with the best. Former pro Gareth Swanepoel has recently become a supercross/ motocross trainer and since retiring he has turned racers to winners. Gareth rode for the star racing team and now has a full time role training their riders. It has been a long year for Mitchell, all rookie years are, but expect a whole new Harrison in 2017.
