When Dean came back at Millville he had a lot of cobwebs to shake out and its certainly looks like he has, finishing 5-5 on the day for 6th overall this weekend. This was Deans third consecutive 5th place finish and he certainly looks to be coming back to form. The Red Bull Ktm rider had a great jump off the gate
in moto 1 and came around the first turn in 3rd. Things started to happen quick for Dean as he dropped back to 6th on the opening lap. Wilson was able to remount a charge and get himself into the top five by the finish. Deano didn’t get the start like
he did in the first race but he actually looked better on the track, instead of going backwards in the first couple laps the #15 was moving forward. Wilson got around the likes of Noren, Bisceglia, Short and Nicoletti for his top 5. What really impressed me is that all of these riders that he is battling with have been on the bike all season and their fitness and riding abilities are at their peak. While Wilson is just getting back into the swing of things and was still making late race passes. Dean got around Phil Nicoletti with just under two minutes remaining. I dont see Dean getting into the top 4 before the end of the season but he looks to have locked down the final top 5 position. Fingers crossed for a healthy Deano in 2017.
