DEAN WILSON
From Scotland to Canada to America, Dean Wilson is certainly a well based rider. Dean and his family moved to Canada to pursue the young stars career and after a few years in Canada, Dean became a regular at the amateur nationals in America. The team green rider showed so much talent in the amateur ranks that he was
giving a factory ride by Mitch Payton to race his Monster Energy Pro Circuit Kawasaki’s. It didn’t take long for us to see Wilson run upfront with the big dogs of the class and he was rewarded rookie of the year. In his sophomore year Dean came out to show that he has what it takes to be one of the greats. It was an all out duel for the 250 championship between teammates Rattray, Baggett and Wilson. Deano hit his stride near the end of the season and won the title. Since then the #15 has struggled to even be on the race track, it seemed as there was a black cloud over the phenom and he was struck with injury after injury. After a few attempts at rebuilding himself, Dean almost decided to call it a career and find a “ real job”. Luckily Dean decided to keep grinding and is making a come back once again. Wilson is now on the Factory Red Bull KTM team and his contract is up at the end of the season. A lot of riders are looking to find a ride for 2017 and Dean is a high real-estate rider for a team that believes in him. The former champion has the speed, the talent, and the work ethic to become a winner once again.
