BENNY BLOSS
The surprise of the 2016 outdoor season without a doubt has been the emergence of the rookie aboard the #167 BTO Sports KTM, Benny Bloss. Bloss has been on a mission over recent weeks inching closer and closer to a podium finish. However, coming into the supercross season, he was relatively unknown and racing a 250. He hopped around a few 250 teams during the East Coast
series before getting a call from BTO Sports KTM to fill in during the remaining rounds on a 450. 6’5 Bloss gladly accepted and proved his worth to the team eventually earning a full time ride for the outdoor series. He began the series by finishing in and around the top fifteen and generally struggled with consistency. He stayed with his training and continued striving to get better and halfway through the season that hard work clearly began to pay off. He has not finished outside of the top ten overall since Muddy Creek and last week at Unadilla he had a huge career best fourth overall on
the toughest track of the year. Bloss definitely seems to have found his niche aboard the 450 and inked a nice contract for 2017. He will be staying with the team racing a 250 in supercross and 450 in motocross. If he can keep up these fantastic
performances, the future looks very promising.
