Benny Bloss entered Budds Creek riding the high of a career best fourth place overall a week ago at Unadilla. The BTO Sports KTM rookie has been streaking at the last few rounds and this week we anticipated more of the same. He did not have the greatest of qualifying sessions only able to secure the
thirteenth fastest time but he was a good start away from jumpstarting his day. Unfortunately for Bloss, his day would not be getting jumpstarted as suffered a terrible start in moto one rounding lap one buried in twenty-seventh. Disgusted with being that far back, Bloss started surging his way forward passing up to eighteenth in just one lap. He kept the trend of moving up
in the pack going as he continued to pick off riders throughout the opening half of the moto. He climbed all the way up to eleventh but would be unable to make any other passes in the second half of the moto. He had to be disappointed in the result, as he had grown accustomed to the luxury of the top ten. Bloss wanted redemption in the second moto but did not get the best start to help his cause. He was in fifteenth at the end of lap one when he latched onto the rear wheel of Weston Peick. The duo made some moves that got Bloss up to eleventh several laps into the race. Once he took that position, Bloss lost track of Peick and settled into the spot. He would dig deep to catch and pass Bisceglia near the end of the moto to finish in tenth place. The 11-10 moto scores from Bloss would have been labeled as outstanding a month ago but his recent success has turned those into subpar performances. He surely feels a little upset about how he performed and well be aiming to get better starts to finish out his season strong next weekend at the series finale in Indiana.
