TREVOR REIS
in the early 2000’s, trevor reis was a household name amongst minibike chatter across the nation. a staple at Loretta Lynn’s, reis claimed a title in the 51cc
(7-8) year old division, and narrowly missed a title
the following year in the 65cc (7-9) year old division, placing second to alaska’s Ben Lamay. he continued to carry momentum until his transition to the schoolboy
class, where his level of notoriety began to demise.
After a hiatus of sorts, Reis seemed to creep back into the spotlight when he began his professional career a few years ago. If you had the chance of watching the Mini Warrior video series, you’d know the speed and jumping ability of the California native was apparent, making his transition to Supercross relatively easy.
Making six main events last year, Reis has shown he’s capable of competing with the best. He’s looking to build off of a 14th at San Diego, and climb into the top ten by season’s end. If his amateur record is any indication, he has the potential to produce results that many industry insiders aren’t predicting.
