Immaculate line choice, missing bump after bump, all the while carving each berm to perfection, he created a whirlwind of confusion for all that were behind him. And for those in front, they most certainly knew what lurked over their shoulder.
Hunter’s highlights included a seventh overall in the Mini Sr. 2 9-14 division, a fourth in Mini Sr. 1, and two spectacular overall finishes in the 85cc 9-12 year old class.
It was here that Cross was truly clicking on all cylinders, as he would come away with one bronze medallion, and one supreme gold crown. Shoving names like Hymas, Reynolds, and Hertzler to the wayside, Hunter coupled consistent laptimes with stern focus, and in fruition, was returned with the title of champion; well done sir.
