With numerous top five heat race finishes, he really found his groove in three classes throughout the event. The first, the ultra competitive Supermini 2 division, one in which he went 8-4 for fifth overall, banging bars with competitors such as Aiden Tijero, Dilan Schwartz, and Jo Shimoda. Solid laptimes and blistering corner speed helped propel him to the remarkable finish.
After finishing 3rd in his Mini Sr. 2 9-14 heat, he sparred and jousted hard with Idaho’s Chance Hymas, ending up just outside the top five with a sixth place finish; yet another solid result.
His second day Supermini 1 result however would provide his best finish for the event; a third in his heat set him up with a stellar gate choice as they marched up the hill. Fourth on lap one and a screaming pack at his rear, Kniffing actually plunged into second for a while. Trading paint with Jo Shimoda, he held on for third until the checkered flag flew, beating the likes of Carson Mumford and Joshua Varize; all in all, an awesome performance.
