The #99 rider dropped the hammer on lap two, making the pass for the lead, pulling off the fastest lap of the race - 2:10.095, on his way to the championship. Supermini 2 (13-16 Yrs) was Lance’s next endeavour and the young rider was poised to take home another championship, and the historic Mammoth Bear trophy that comes along with it. Lance went on to dominate the first race of the class and was ready to make it a perfect week by winning race 2. A bad start in the final race left Kobusch playing catch up, the thought of perfect moto scores may have gotten into the #99’s head as he made a mistake on lap 2 that dropped him even further back. With his never give up attitude the Kawasaki rider battled tooth and nail to finish 6th and was the third fastest rider on the track.
