PONCA CITY OKLAHOMA
JADON COOPER
Jadon Cooper put together a solid bunch of performances in the C class at the 2017 Motoplayground Race at Ponca City. The Texas native contested 250 C Jr, 250 C, and 125 C throughout the weekend and found success in all three classes with a trio of victories between the six races. The Husqvarna rider was completely flawless in the 125 C division as he stole both victories away from the competition -- it was smooth sailing for Cooper in the opening moto as he pulled the holeshot and immediately checked out on the competition, setting the fastest lap of the race on his very first flying lap. The Texan continued to lay down a hot pace and separated himself from the field with a gap of more than ten seconds, eventually backing it off on the last lap as he cruised to the checkered flag. In the second race, Cooper didn’t get the same start off the unforgiving concrete and he found himself outside of the top three coming through the first corner. He was able to work his way up to third by the time he crossed the finish line, setting his sights on yet another victory with the overall title in mind. Cooper stormed through the competition aboard his #007 Husqvarna, passing Braden Smallwood for second position on the second lap. He kept his head down and charged forward after making the move with the leader in sight, setting the fastest lap of the race to close the gap to just one second. One lap later, Coo- per forced his way past Cameron Campbell and overtook the top spot, putting him in control of the overall victory with only one lap to go. The Texan kept his composure and continued to ride at a fiery pace, eventually crossing the line with a gap of more than two seconds ahead of Kole Medwid in second position, therefore earning him a number one plate in the 125C division.
