The second race was almost a carbon copy of the first for the Catalan native; he was able to take advantage of his starting position on the inside of the track and slot his Yoshimura Suzuki into second spot heading through the first corner. He wasted no time in getting to the front as he pulled off the same move on his teammate at the end of the back straightaway, supporting the claim that he’s one of the latest on the brakes in the entire field. Elias was able to dictate the pace from the front of the field for the entirety of the race, briefly swapping positions with his teammate as the laps wound down. He was able to hold on to greet the checkered flag first yet again as he remained undefeated at Circuit of the Americas with four out of four victories in the past two years, putting himself in command of the points chase heading into round two at Road Atlanta.
