ROGER HAYDEN : MOTUL SUPERBIKE
Roger Hayden is the youngest brother of the famous trio of racing brothers.
He’s been racing professionally since he was just sixteen years old, but he’s come a long way since those days. Hayden has a lot of experience in different competitions around the world -- he’s competed in the AMA Championship in both Supersport and Superbike, the World Superbike Championship, and he’s also raced as a wildcard in a couple of MotoGP races on American soil.
Hayden was one of the main players in the 2016 MotoAmerica season as he racked up two race victories and ten podiums to boot. He really found his form in the latter stages of the season where he was able to grab wins at Barber Motorsports Park and New Jersey Motorsports Park, and he’s looking to pick up where he left off on the brand new GSX-R1000R this year.
Hayden continued his hot form from the pre-season Dunlop tire test as he put himself on pole position for the opening two races of the 2017 MotoAmerica season. In the first race, he executed an exceptional start as he was able to maintain the advantage through the first corner, coming out ahead of his teammate, Toni Elias. The Kentuckian held strong for the opening couple of laps as he led the field around the three and a half mile circuit, but he was forced to concede the lead to his teammate at the end of the back straight.
