wow what a thriller the 250 main event was. Malcolm would be the center of the entire thrill as he ripped the holeshot and got out to the early lead. the track was really starting to deteriorate and he had to be extra careful maneuvering through the knee-deep ruts in seemingly every corner. Malcolm really had to be careful where he went on the track when Jeremy Martin came
knocking on his door a third of the way through the race. Malcolm would bobble leaving the door open for Martin to make the pass but Malcolm would ride some of the best defense I have ever seen. He somehow railed through a plush, sandy berm and position himself onto the outside of Martin where he would muscle his way into Martin’s line in a tight, deep rut and regain the position. It was a great display of racing and Malcolm must have gotten fired up from the exchange because he gave himself a little extra breathing room between him and Martin. Then as the laps were winding down, Justin Hill entered the battle between Malcolm and Martin. Martin sensed the pressure from Hill and pushed to make the pass on Malcolm and he would pull off the move pushing Malcolm back to 2nd with three to go. After getting passed by Martin, everything began to go unravel for Malcolm. Hill worked by him on the next lap sending him back to 3rd. And then on the final lap Malcolm held off a charging Martin Davalos but he would stall the bike in the final turn! Malcolm was able to kick his bike back to life in time to finish 4th. It was an electrifying main event and unfortunately for Malcolm he came up short after leading the first 12 laps. But despite falling to 4th, Malcolm is only five points out of the points lead and will surely be looking to redeem himself next weekend in Toronto, Canada.
