MALCOLM STEWART
Since emerging onto the professional scene, Malcolm Stewart has been striving
to erase his title of “James’ little brother.” He did not have the dominant amateur career with countless titles that his big brother did nor did he have full factory sup- port as a rookie. But Malcolm did have some success as
an amateur and did have the support of a satellite team as a rookie so he sure was not
a slouch. Being the younger brother to arguably the fastest rider on the planet made trying to establish himself as a pro that much harder because he had to rise from his brothers shadow. He knew he would have to show the world that
he is more than just a younger brother and that he is his own person, Malcolm Stewart. And now a handful of years into his career and he is beginning to do just that. He grabbed his first win last year in the 250 West Coast series and is now a favorite to win the champi- onship in the 250 East Coast series. Malcolm started the East Coast series with a close second place and showed he definitely has the speed to win races and ultimately the cham- pionship. Time will tell if he will be able to win the champion- ship but if he does, he will have succeeded in not being known anymore as “James’ little brother.”
