Starting his day off in Daytona rJ Hampshire qualified 7th for the night show, the same position he qualified in last week. Daytona being unlike any other track on the circuit the start is where the leaders will come from. Getting the holeshot in his heat race Hampshire began his night out front. as the race continued Malcom Stewart began to close the gap behind the leader putting
the pressure on the Geico Honda rider. With just a couple laps to go he makes a small mistake but is able to hold off his fellow teammate claiming the heat race win and moving on to the main event. He gets off the gate in 8th right in front of Plessinger. About 6 laps in Plessinger got by him causing him to fall back one position. He moves up to 7th passing Bisceglia and Bowers. Tonus then passes him pushing once again back to 8th. With just two laps to go he gets back by Tonus and up to 7th. Hampshire finishes off his second main event of the season in 7th.
