For a rider in the 250 class Kyle Cunningham is making his statement in the 450 class. the Motorcycle Superstore Suzuki rider qualified into the night show in 18th, not bad for someone who doesn’t race 450’s in Supercross that often. a veteran to the 250 lites class
Cunningham gets a top 10 start in his heat race right in front of Seely. He falls back to 10th one spot out of the transfer after Seely was able to get by him. The Suzuki rider finishes the heat race in 10th and moves on to the Semi with a good gate pick. Unable to get the job done in the Semi once again finishes one spot out of the transfer he moves onto the LCQ. Cunningham gets the holeshot and leads the whole race with Reed putting on the pressure behind him. He was able to claim his first LCQ victory. He gets off the gate in 20th and begins a battle that lasted through the entire main event. Going back and forth with Alessi, Peick, and Weimer all race long. They jumped back and forth between 16th and 20th consistently several times throughout the lap. Each time you looked up the position had changed between the four of them. Around lap 15 Cunningham moves into 16th where he begins to ride out the rest of the race, until Mill- saps goes down moving him up one more position on the last lap. He finished off his exciting main event in 15th.
