the reigning Supercross champion is also the reigning Motocross champion, which will play into this week in Daytona. the long, grueling Daytona track is a hybrid SX/ MX track that forces the racers to dig into their outdoor skills. luckily for the red Bull KtM rider, he is almost arguably faster outdoors than in. Starting off this sea- son in almost dominating fashion, ryan will use Daytona to remove any hope that
the competition might have had for their title aspirations.
Last year, Dungey showcased how to ride the taxing track to a convincing win. The #5 has the fitness and drive, and needed to excel at this type of track. Daytona is known as the start of the final stretch of the sea- son which can make or break championships. Winning this championship twice before, Dungey knows how much confidence can be acquired by winning this race. Even with all the pressure that is put into this one race, Ryan will be calm and collected the night of the main event. Others have had their success, but this year has been owned by the reigning champion. Look for the familiar face of the likeable Minnesota racer at the top step of the podium.
