a holeshot in the main event had the Factory KtM rider in the lead for the first few cor- ners of the race. any other race this would be the end of the story for the competition, as ryan would have cruised on to the win. Daytona lit a spark under Monster energy Kawasaki’s eli tomac as he quickly passed Dungey to take over the lead. with tomac sprinting away, ryan kept up the pace to keep him in sight. the reigning champ had tomac in sight for the rest of the race, but just could not catch up and make a run for the lead. Finishing out in second, ryan Dungey extended his points lead over the nearest competition.
