Kobusch claimed that him and Brown were about the same pace and the start was going to be the most im- portant part of moto two; the Team Green rider pulled the holeshot and never looked back, setting the fast- est lap of the weekend on lap four, withstanding the immense pressure that Brown put on him throughout the moto. This time around Kobusch had the superior outright speed, but Brown was able to remain more consistent as he attempted to chase him down for the overall victory, but he came up 1.5 seconds short. Alves rode a carbon copy of his first moto, starting the race in 4th position and moving into the final podium spot on the second lap, this time overtaking Derek Kelley in the process.
