RYAN DUNGEY
Not much can be said about Ryan Dungey. The dude is an animal.
He wrapped up his third championship last weekend in East Rutherford and also went back to back. His eight wins this season are the most of any rider. He won in many different
ways including come from behind rides and wire-to-wire victories. His uber consistency week in and week out is almost something unnatural. The man had THIRTY straight podiums in the wild and unpredictable sport of supercross. He never seems out of control and just looks like he is going through a simple routine. He gets knocked at times for being boring and too smooth but he clearly doesn’t pay attention to that and let’s his titles and wins speak for themselves. However one thing that Dungey seemed to have changed up this year has been his aggression. This is season has been the first time I’ve seen Dungey really go out and make some hard passes early in races. That’s probably been the only blip in his otherwise perfect performances but he has made that a thing of the past. Las Vegas is the final race of the year and despite having the title in hand; don’t think Dungey is going to let up one bit. He races to win and nothing else.
