“Who’s ready to do a little mud wrastlin?!” The crowd screams with excitement, as the
announcer focuses the attention to the gatedrop of 250 heat two, where the course appears
as more of a hog pin, rather than a Supercross track. Plessinger once again was last to claim the bacon heading into turn one, with an absolute dreadful start to the event. As each lap passed, Aaron continued to climb his way up the leaderboard, landing in qualifying position by the halfway mark. With the bike amassing more and more weight by the second, the long limbs of Plessinger proved worthy, as he was able to navigate each rut and divot with precision. The tiptoeing paid dividends in the end, resulting in a fifth place finish, and ticket to the main event. As the conditions seem
to worsen, the morale of the Ohio native increased. He prayed for the track to be in utter dismay, the more challenging, the more his raw ability would show. Following a lackluster start, Plessinger would remain calm throughout the cloud of chaos that would overshadow Sam Boyd Stadium. However, a lap two pitstop would show the frustration of the 23, as a bent shifter would force him to pull into the mechanics area. Rather than pack it in and call it a night, the former GNCC star chose to amount a second charge towards the field, and unleash his ball of aggression. Each lap he would pick off a different competitor, doubling obstacles that most would navigate with legs dangling. He appeared to be the most at ease throughout the grueling whoop section, making up remarkable time each time the moguls were embarked on. By race end, the young man had climbed all the way fourth position, capping off a season of ups and downs with a highlight, and something to build off of for the months to come.
