Surrounded by a sea of blue amidst the stampede of the fastest 250 racers in the nation, Martin found himself near sixth in the first few corners. Seventh after lap one, a mistake by the Star Racing competitor would drop him to the bottom of the grid. He would shuffle amongst the latter portion of the field for the rest of the main event, just hoping to cross the finish line in one piece; he would finish 18th.
