Hunter Yoder was having an absolute blast out at the california classic on his 65. He won five out of 6 motos that he contested in the 65cc 10 - 11 classes, pulling holeshots left and right and battling back and forth with Team Green’s Ryder DiFrancesco and MTF
rider Matthew LeBlanc. The three of them were the class of the field, sometimes lapping almost three seconds a lap quicker than anyone else on the track. Hunter put his Orange Brigade KTM out front in the first 65cc moto and never looked back, keeping DiFrancesco at bay with a safe two second gap. The second moto wasn’t as easy as Ryder got out front early on, forcing Hunter to make a move for the lead on the second lap. The two of them pressured one another into the high 1:30’s, while everyone else on the track apart from a charging LeBlanc was lapping in the low 1:40’s. The Kawasaki and KTM swapped positions twice in the last four laps in a tight battle that saw Yoder come out on the top step of the podium. In the third moto, Yoder pulled another holeshot and was able to stay in first place for a couple of laps, but LeBlanc and Ryder D eventually got by him to finish first and second respectively.
