The third place finish in the final moto was enough to secure the 65cc 10-11 in relatively domi-
nating fashion. The 65cc Limited class went even more smoothly as Hunter pulled the holeshot
in the first and third moto complemented by a second place start in the other moto. He went unchal- lenged in the races where he started out front, managing his gap at the front of the pack and winning with a dominating swagger; he even took the time to wave to the crowd over the finish line jump. The second moto in which he started behind Ryder D saw the two of them battle for position early on, but Hunter was two seconds a lap faster at some points in the race, turning his fastest lap time on the second to last lap, yet again showcasing the fitness and determination that won him the KTM Hard Charger Award at Loretta’s last year. Hunter completely swept the 65cc Limited class, giving him his second title on the weekend. He didn’t have the same speed in the in the 85cc classes that he contested, but he still put in very respectable top ten finishes in both the 85cc 9-11 and 9-12. Hunter Yoder is definitely one to keep an eye on going into Loretta’s this year and has done more than enough to earn his spot in the discussion of top of the line amateur talent coming through the ranks.
