Take a look at your local newspaper and in particular, the sports section. What do you see in regards to girls athletics? Softball tourna- ments, volleyball matches, and basketball games, fill the tabloids from cover to cover. It seems to be the norm, as these are school- related activities, and have received the limelight for as long as many can remember. But what about the girls of amateur motocross? Brave hearted, filled with courage, and fearless. They’re doing things that the majority of grown men wouldn’t dare, yet getting partial recognition. Riders like Daniela Guillen take this notion to heart, and feel they deserve adequate attention, and rightfully so. Especially following the performance she put on during the 2017 Winter Olympics event. The first moto, after pre-race discussion with her team, her entourage decided that holeshot was critical. With the crazy, rugged terrain that this track provided, they felt there would be many pileups and crashes among the rest of the field. So, an excellent jump, and quick shifts were imminent to her success. They were com-
