pleted with proficiency, as she skated around turn number one, the rear wheel digging into mother earth. At the end of the second lap, the gap was a bit ridiculous. Fifteen seconds, over a hard-charging Mikayla Nielsen, proved to both fans and friends alike, that she meant abso- lute business. Diving
in to the 2:15 range,
the lead had grown
into 33 seconds by the checkered flag stop. She honestly had almost made her way back to the trailer, by the time the race was completely over. No shame to her competition in anyway, it was just that everything was clicking for Daniela, as she prepared to rally again for an assault on the second moto. It was the same swan song for moto number two, as each lap, she would pull further and further from the opposition. Almost as if she were running to hide, or being pursued by the enemy, which in this case was the rest
of the field. Soaring in the air over the jump beside the grandstands, her lead on the last rap reached a surplus of
25 seconds! She was dominating, and clearly had been working hard in her recent downtime. Taking the checkered flag, she was greeted
by family and friends, all congratulating her. The high fives and fist bumps were abundant, feeling as though she was on top of the world.
