The 65 (10-11) division at the 2017 Winter Olympics, may not have been the largest, in regards to entries on the sign-up sheet. However, what it lacked in attendance it replaced with firepower. Names such as Deegan, Cochran, Caudle, and Carter Malcolm all waited patiently in line at the registration tower. The presence their names had on the scoring board was imminent, frightening competitors of all back- grounds; however, there were those, who stood up to the challenge, and couldn’t wait for their opportunity to rival some of the best in the sport. Take Mark Fineis, for example; a native hoosier, and competitor who most certainly embodied the spirit of the Indianapolis 500. Pushing through these notoriously rutted switchbacks, his pegs were chiseling the ground beneath, yet never slowing down his machine. The momentum he carried around the course was very impressive, yet Haiden Deegan, who sat third, decided to jump Casey Cochran, and elevate the race level by just a small notch. It certainly got under the skin of Fineis, as the number 105 was running his front fender
