into the most narrowest of spaces, trying his best to rattle the inside of Deegan’s helmet. It was an astonishing effort, yet the 238 KTM made it clear to all of his classmate’s, that you must go above and beyond to erase his title aspirations. As he rounded the final right-hander, he knew he’d sealed the deal; with Fineis second, and Cochran third. But nothing could motivate the Zionsville, Indiana native more than the loss he took in the opening round. The fire was building within; the spark had been set, the wick was slowly deteriorating, and it was now time for the explosion of energy to be blasted on to the racecourse. Fineis launched out of the pad with an excellent execution of shifting, clicking the shifter with the tip of his left boot. Rocketing down the backside, and into the roller section, his front wheel would never tap the ground, as it one constant manual throughout the entire section. Motor- ing through the set of switchbacks that followed, Fineis and his machine seemed to be gelling as one complete unit. Deegan meanwhile, was in fourth, looking to work his way around Logan Best and Collin Allen. He would do so, but it was a case of too little too late. And as Fineis rounded the final turn, down in to the depths of the Gator Pit, his arms would be reaching to the skies. He would scream, fists clenched, looking towards his team. He’d done it, and the championship was his.
