JUSTIN RODBELL / MOTOCROSS
The ages of 16-24...a time where transcripts are filled, report cards are sent, and scholarship questionnaires are mailed a dime a dozen. All in hopes to get accepted into that prestigious university, enroll in your necessary classes, and jumpstart your way to a solid career. Now, in talks of motocross, however, the College (16-24) class can provide, a bit of the same substance if you will. As many of these guys have just gradu- ated from the Schoolboy division, and are a few years from the 25+ crowd. It’s a pivotal moment in their careers, as the right moves here, can propel them into a successful job opportunity; but if they falter, it can provide lackluster test scores, and lackluster enthusiasm from their future employer. For division number one, it was an all too familiar last name of Carsten, taking the lead in the early going. Cory Carsten, a New Jer- sey native, looked to set the tone early, after a perfectly executed start. Trey Fegert, from North Carolina, was the man on the move however.
