LeBlanc, would hold
on, taking victory. Ryan meanwhile, would
take second, with Park Earl finishing third. For division number two,
it was Reynolds, up to his usual antics, living up to his contention of “GOAT” status, among amateur bench racing talk. Nate Thrasher, the hot commodity out of Livingston, Tenneseee, volleyed his best efforts, spiking any roost back to the ground. How- ever, Reynolds would be too much to handle, and Nate Thrasher would settle for sec- ond; Crockett Myers, of Roberta, Georgia, would be third. When the main event rolled around, there was a mysterious buzz lingering around the backdrop of the gate. Where was Jett Reynolds? He wasn’t anywhere in sight, and it provided a slight boost of morale to riders like Jeremy Ryan and Nate Thrasher. Ryan, took the opportunity and ran with it, literally jump-
ing in to the pit, all the while keeping the KX pinned to the hilt. Roar- ing around the gradual left hand sweeper, his knees were gripping the shrouds with extreme intensity. He would con- tinue this memo for four laps, leaving Ryan with the moto win. He had done it, he had claimed the unthinkable. All the way from California, this trip was now well worth it. The best in the world were behind him, and he relieved to get the monkey off his back.
