JUSTIN BOGLE
Unable to maximize the results so far into the season, the sole 450 Geico Honda bike of Justin Bogle
hasn’t seen the usual success he’s used to when racing inside the stadiums. Riding for Geico since joining the professional ranks, something seems to be amiss in the summer sunshine for #19. Riding to a 12th overall at the opening round of Hangtown with consistent 12th and 11th place moto finishes, Bogle saw both ends of the spectrum by fading back in moto one and charging from behind in moto two. With that said, the starts aren’t the source as Justin finished consistently with or without one. Heading into round two, Bogle’s hopes were diminished when a slippery blade and a dropped avocado caused a mid-week laceration to the hand and breaking any chance at an improvement from the week before. Barely able to hold on over the gritty Glen Helen bumps, Bogle battled with fierceness to squeak out of moto one with a 15th but decided to sit out moto two. Surprisingly, even with the thrown away moto score, Bogle still locked in 17th overall and headed to round three sitting 15th in the standings; a definite upgrade on 2015’s 26th overall by series end. Still somewhat of an inside-specialist, Bogle has definitely made progress on last year’s rookie premier-class season and is heading into the right direction. With more ground to make up and two rounds to build upon, Thunder Valley is intended to mark the start of the rest of the season for Justin. Hoping to turnaround the misfortunes and record a season- best finish, Bogle is sure to go all out with the stanky leg included.
