Round 3 of the Lucas Oil Motocross series could not have started any better for the Yama- lube Star Racing Yamaha team. When the gate dropped for moto one it was a wave of blue in the front of the pack. Running 1-2-3-4 the Yamaha teammates tried to run away from the pack. Unfortunately for Aaron Plessinger, him and Alex Martin crashed while running third
and fourth early in the race. This mistake sent Plessinger back to thirteenth place. Aaron wasn’t able to make up much ground and actually lost a position to his teammate Alex Martin leaving him with a 14th place finish in moto one. Moto two did not start off as well for the Ohio native, coming around the first turn buried in the pack. Crossing the finish in nineteenth on lap one, Plessinger put on a charge and worked his way up to 10th place over the long 30 minute plus 2 lap race. With 14-10 moto scores, Aaron Plessinger finished 11th overall.
