PHIL NICOLETTI
Phil Nicoletti has shown his gritty flashes of brilliance a few times already during this season. “Fill in” Phil got himself a full time deal with the JGR team this outdoor season and that stability in the back of his mind has helped him focus on the task at hand. Nicoletti’s results so far have been just about what
you would expect based off of previous seasons. He is consistently hovering just inside the top ten with a sprinkle
of holeshots and battles up front. He is certainly an entertaining rider to watch because when he gets that extra little shot of adrenaline after nailing a holeshot, he is really tough to pass. He fights for every inch on the track and doesn’t back down from anybody. Riders definitely don’t like closing in on the #38 jersey towards the end of motos because they know they are going to have to expend a little more energy if they want to get around. Nicoletti’s speed and consistency has improved from last season that makes him an even better rider. We could have seen him finish around the top five last weekend at Muddy Creek if it wasn’t for a crash so we will have to see how he responds to get back up there this weekend at Red Bud.
