The North Carolina Native Jordon Smith is no stranger to the Monster Energy Cup. Debuting his talent
in 2013 in the Amateur All-Star Class, Smith showed tremendous speed and potential that year but also displayed one of the craziest crashes ever seen at the event. Crossing track lanes and threading the needle between tough blocks at full speed all while barely hanging on to the motorcycle, the rising star almost had one of the best saves in history. Despite just a small crash at the end of his crazy ride, Jordon provided some spectacular promotional highlights for the event. Fast forward to 2016 and Smith is ready to compete in the premiere class with the best in the business. No real big expectations for the Troy Lee Design Rider as he is still a 250 rider for the next couple years and is competing on his new KTM 250SXF against 450 machines. Proving he can compete against any competition, Jordon had a solid showing and even finished inside the top ten in the second Main Event with a 9th place. A consistent three races with 13th-9th-11th place finishes, Jordon finished the 2016 Monster Energy Cup with a 12th overall.
