Using the Woman’s Vet class as a warm up and for more track time, Shelby came out swinging and checked out in the first moto leading from start to finish. The talented racer took on the second moto with just as much vengeance, and blitzed on to an easy
championship in Wortham. WMX professional class was next on the Team Green’s radar to put herself back into the mix of points for the championship. Shelby rocketed out of the gate and found herself in 3rd place after lap one. Fighting tooth and nail with the other talented woman in the class, Rolen fell back to a respectable 7th place
by the end of the race. Moto two start saw Shelby in 8th place after the first lap of the race. Using the speed and determination of a top professional racer, the #5 Kawasaki was able to make a pass to a solid 7th place. Speed and consistency allowed her to keep this position till the end of the race. Seventh overall is a great building block for this young lady to build on her run for the WMX championship throughout the summer.
