Unable to ride the 250 A class due to a bike malfunction, Cameron Mcadoo was left
with only two opportunities to establish March as a month to remember. Finishing with
the same overall in both classes, Cameron had a successful week in Texas while still incapable of taking over the number one spot. Although in 450 A he did finish ahead of Austin Forkner who didn’t finish moto three, Mcadoo didn’t have enough for Cantrell who ended up with the class title. The most consistent rider in the class, Cameron, who posted a 3rd, 5th and 3rd moto finish in succession, was only surpassed via the final moto kicker in favor of Sean Cantrell’s moto three victory. Although some may blame the 5th place start while Cantrell got out to the early lead, Mcadoo did everything he could to finish within a mere 6 seconds of the class winner. Turning to the Open Pro Sport class, a division littered with inconsistency, Cameron came in through in a clutch to preserve his 2nd place reputation heading deeper into the 2016 amateur nationals. Each moto of the Open class saw a different winner in Taft, Forkner and Surratt, Mcadoo’s 6th, 3rd and 4th places were enough to give him the runner-up spot. Unfortunately for the #812, Forkner never finished worse than 2nd, giving him the authoritative victory for his final championship week on the non-pro circuit. With Forkner now gone, and Mcadoo’s most recent results, Cameron’s basically a front running guarantee. Despite his hands still being full with the rest of the aggressive adversaries, the Alessi’s may be on to something with the consistent runner-up.
