Parker Mashburn
had a very up and down week at the JS7 Freestone National. The Texan Orange Brigade rider lined up in both Schoolboy classes as well as 250 B and the 125 (12-16) class. 2016 marks the first year that Mashburn has gone big bike only after racing supermins and 125s last year. And when it came to the 125s here at Freestone, Mashburn had his most ups and least downs. In the 125 (12-16) class he stayed very consistent during both motos en route to
4-3 moto scores. In the first moto he got a decent start and came around lap one in fifth place. He started to plug away getting around Ciaran Naran on lap two and then setting his sights on the third place rider Brock Papi. The
two riders swapped faster lap times ultimately resulting in the gap staying the same forcing Mashburn to settle for fourth place. The second moto went a little better for the KTM rider as he slingshotted into third place just behind leaders Jalek Swoll and Brock Papi.
